FILMS
The Palestine Film Foundation has a full list of Palestinian films: http://www.palestinefilm.org/
“With God on our Side” - directed by Porter Speakman
”With God On Our Side takes a look at the theology of Christian Zionism, which teaches that because the Jews are God's chosen people, they have a divine right to the land of Israel. Aspects of this belief system lead some Christians in the West to give uncritical support to Israeli government policies, even those that privilege Jews at the expense of Palestinians, leading to great suffering among Muslim and Christian Palestinians alike and threatening Israel's security as a whole. This film demonstrates that there is a biblical alternative for Christians who want to love and support the people of Israel, a theology that doesn't favour one people group over another but instead promotes peace and reconciliation for both Jews and Palestinians." ”The Iron Wall” - produced by Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees and Palestinians for Peace and Democracy http://www.theironwall.ps
After 1967 and the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza, the aim of the settlement movement became clear - create facts on the ground and make the creation of a Palestinian state impossible. Thirty nine years of occupation and the policy started showing results. There are now more than 200 settlements and outposts scattered throughout the West Bank blocking the geographic possibility of a contiguous Palestinian territory.
The Iron Wall documentary exposes this phenomenon and follows the timeline, size, population of the settlements, and its impact on the peace process. This film also touches on the latest project to make the settlements a permanent fact on the ground - the wall that Israel is building in the West Bank and its impact on the Palestinian's peoples. Palestinians and Israelis began the peace process based on a very simple principle: land for peace. Settlements destroy that principle and create a land with no peace.

“The Lemon Tree” - a film directed by Eran Riklis
This film is not a 'peace' film, nor is it a war movie.  It is based on the true story of a Palestinian widow who must defend her lemon tree field when a new Israeli Defense Minister moves next to her and threatens to have her lemon grove torn down.   "The Lemon Tree does not take sides. It merely portrays real life among these ancient people. But the message that it sends out is very clear. Israel's separation wall which is credited for dramatically reducing terror attacks and the land for which it divides is not the real issue. The Lemon Tree is about real people on both sides of the divide who need to know, understand and communicate with one another - not through bullets, but rather through coffee, tea and lemonade." (Joel Leyden Israel News Agency) This film can be purchased from Amazon UK

“West Bank Story” -
A musical comedy set in the fast-paced, fast-food world of competing falafel stands in the West Bank... David, an Israeli soldier, falls in love with the beautiful Palestinian cashier, Fatima, despite the animosity between their families' dueling restaurants. Can the couple's love withstand a 2000 year old conflict and their families' desire to control the future of the chic pea in the Middle East?
Directed by Ari Sandel, written by Kim Ray & Ari Sandel; an official selection of the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.  http://www.westbankstory.com/

“Knowledge is the Beginning” - a film produced by Paul Smaczny in 2005
World-renowned conductor Daniel Barenboim and the late Palestinian writer and activist Edward Said generated both controversy and admiration when they founded the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra in 1999. Bringing together young Arabs and Jews from Israel, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan and Syria  to perform and live side by side, it is a extraordinary expression of its aim to further peaceful co-existence in the Middle East. This Emmy-nominated documentary follows this unique musical collaboration from its inception. http://www.knowledge-is-the-beginning.com/
“Walled Horizons” - short film produced by UN (OCHA) Jerusalem
The film is narrated by and features Roger Waters (founding member of the former Pink Floyd rock band), who visits the Wall and comments on his observations. The film also features Palestinians affected by the Wall and three Israeli senior security officials, two of whom were directly responsible for planning its route and explain the Israeli position for constructing the Wall.

PALESTINIAN ART
“The OTHER”
A group exhibition by 13 Palestinian artists. Curators: Faten Nastas Mitwasi, artist and Chair of Visual Arts department at Dar al Kalima College and Inger Jonasson, artist and art consultant at DIYAR in Bethlehem:
DOWNLOAD the CATALOGUE of the exhibition (which was on display in Sweden)
“In this exhibition we want to highlight thirteen Palestinian artists who have all interpreted the theme of “the Other” according to their own personal experience.

Some have chosen to see the other in a personal way asking «who am I» in an I-you relationship or introspective in relationship to him/herself. To live in different worlds, cultures and political systems is another experience being explored. If you are a Palestinian living in Israel for example, you can experience a conflict of identity, perhaps not so visible to the outside world but still appreciable. Other artists speak of those who are different in the community that we need to respect them; or those who are closest to us, family and friends and to remember those who gave their lives in the struggle for a better life and future. Some artists reflect in their artwork how the world perceives the Palestinians and want to give a more realistic and accurate picture based on the conviction that if peace and freedom shall be realized there is a need for empathy and understanding of The Other.

The thirteen artists are living in different places and in different countries and have different status. You find them in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, Israel and in exile. They are all called Palestinians; they belong to the same culture and share the same language. However, their Identity cards are different from one another, some of them are not allowed to come back and have no rights to live in their homeland, while others are not allowed to visit each other and cross between the West-Bank, Jerusalem and Gaza.
Their different experiences have shaped their artistic expression. In this exhibition, the visitors can experience and get introduced to the entire width of the Palestinian people’s lives and conditions. Moreover, through their art works, the thirteen Palestinian artists are meeting together and sharing their different and “other” Palestinian conditions and concerns with each other.
We believe that the Palestinians should have their own country, where they can be reunited and live in self-determination. In late September, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas presented the Palestinian peoples long awaited desire for recognition in the UN to become the world›s 194 Member State. In his speech, Abbas quoted the great Palestinian Poet, Mahmoud Darwish, saying:
“Standing here, staying here,
permanent here, eternal here,
and we have one goal, one goal, one goal:
to be and we shall be”.
